Foothills Subarea Plan Update - November 2007

You'll find all the latest updates for the Foothills Subarea Plan on the link above. Updating the subarea plan may be the most important activity this decade for our region and we encourage all of you to carefully read the information on this page. We cannot stress too much the importance of participating in all aspects of this process with Foothills residents, the consultant team and the planning staff and staying the course until County Council adopts our plan.

We have a copy of the Walkability/Livability Audit performed by Dan Burden and Glatting Jackson for the Whatcom Council of Governments. This report covers Kendall, Everson, Birch Bay, Blaine, and Ferndale. Get the audit (in PDF format) HERE. It's a rather large file if you are on dialup, but it's worth the wait!

The North Cascades Grizzly Bear Outreach Project (GBOP)has issued an update with information about living with bears in the North Cascades. You may view it HERE in PDF format.

The adopted By Laws for the Mt. Baker Foothills Economic Development Association are here. These are available in MS Word and PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat's Free Reader to view the PDF files. Each link will open in a new window.
